BWA redefines the guest experience at Swinomish Casino & Lodge with a fast-tracked expansion and remodel that enhances gaming and positions the property for long-term growth
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Swinomish Channel and Padilla Bay—with panoramic views of the San Juan Islands and Mount Baker—the Swinomish Casino & Lodge expansion and remodel presented both opportunity and a formidable challenge: delivering a comprehensive transformation within a 12-month design-to-construction window. BWA rose to the occasion, completing the project on time and on budget.
The renovation focused on enhancing the property’s operational flow and guest-facing amenities while preserving its connection to the surrounding landscape. Key was the expansion of the casino floor, which included improved sightlines, increased gaming capacity, and adding a new center bar that anchors the gaming experience and encourages social interaction.
To support Swinomish’s growing culinary program, BWA consolidated food service operations and designed a larger, more efficient kitchen. This allowed for the addition of dynamic new dining and retail options, including a fully renovated sports bar and multiple food and beverage outlets tailored to diverse guest preferences.
